We are worthy of life and deserving of the good things that come our way. After all, I don’t believe Life gifts us with good fortune. We are all born with natural talents that help us on our way, but only after applying ourselves and adding something to the world can we appreciate the life we have.
Often when times are going good or I’m plunged into a situation that’s seemingly out of my depth, I question whether I’m good enough to be there, amongst the people I admire. These situations can be explained away by thinking, “I’m here for a reason. Everything happens for a reason”. I’m not saying I don’t believe in this way of thinking, because do, but only if that reason is the fact that I’ve worked hard to be where I am.
I tend to look at my situation at any given time in one of two ways, depending on the circumstances. Either:
- I am here because I am valued and deserve to being here, or
- I am here because there is something I need to learn and I need to challenge myself.
In fact, you can consciously change your situation by switching from one perspective to the other, depending on whether you are content with where you are or your striving for change.
